Hot stone treatments

Hot Stone treatments are the pinnacle of relaxation. Warming, Calming and soothing whether you choose massage or reflexology or a combination treatment. Heat from the Basalt stones deeply penetrate the muscular structures soothing and releasing tension and toxins, warming and sedating the bodys systems.

Evidence of stone massage dates back many 1000`s of years when ancient civilisations believed that the heat from the stones helped cleanse and balance the body and mind. The treatment originates from ancient India and China but can be found in many other cultures throughout the ancient world.

Using heat to gently warm the skin allows therapeutic oils to be absorbed more easily and as muscles relax the therapist is able to apply more pressure to obtain a deeper massage. One stroke of a heated Basalt Stone is equivalent to 5-10 strokes of a therapist using hands only.
